Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 June 2026
1. Who you’re dealing with
AI Search Ready (“the service”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Ed Jenkinson, sole trader, registered in the United Kingdom. By using the service you agree to these terms.
The service is provided at aisearchready.io. Contact: ed@aisearchready.io.
2. What the service does
AI Search Ready audits websites for AI-search readiness — the structural and content signals that determine whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and similar AI engines can cite your site. It produces a graded score, a factor breakdown, and a list of recommended fixes. Optional add-ons include Citation Probe (measuring real citation rates against AI engines) and Watcher (weekly re-scans with email alerts on score drift).
3. Your account
You may create one account per person. Sign-in is via magic link — no password. Keep your email address secure; anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you.
You are responsible for activity under your account, including any scans, probes, or API calls you trigger.
4. Connected services (Google Search Console)
You may optionally connect your Google Search Console account. By doing so, you confirm that you have ownership-verified access to the GSC properties you connect, and you authorise us to read (only read) the query, click, impression, and ranking data described in our Privacy Policy.
We will not modify, share, or sell your GSC data. You can disconnect at any time from our dashboard or from your Google account settings.
5. Subscriptions and one-off purchases
Pricing is shown on the pricing page at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel from your dashboard or by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and is not pro-rated.
One-off purchases (£2 single report, £39 deep audit) deliver the report immediately on payment. Subscription tiers (£5/mo Watcher, £199/mo Studio) deliver continuous access to the features described at the point of purchase.
We may change our prices at any time; existing subscriptions stay on the price they were purchased at until you cancel or we give you 30 days' notice of a change.
6. Refunds
If a paid scan fails for technical reasons on our side and we cannot deliver the report, email us within 14 days and we will refund the purchase. We do not refund subscription periods that have already started.
UK consumers have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a subscription. By starting to use the service immediately on purchase, you waive this right for the portion already consumed.
7. What you’re responsible for
- Only submit URLs that you own, or that you have permission to scan. Don't use the service to probe sites in a way that would violate their terms.
- Don't attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape our scoring methodology, or reverse-engineer our internal APIs. Our methodology is published openly at /standard under permissive licences — you don't need to scrape it.
- Don't resell the service or build a competing product on top of our API without a written agreement.
- Don't use the service for anything illegal, including attempting to gain unauthorised access to systems you don't own.
8. Our methodology is open source
The AI Search Ready methodology, rule registry, scanner, and MCP server are open source under the MIT licence (with the standard text dual-licensed CC-BY-4.0 for prose). Source: github.com/ed2903-web/aisearchready.
You may use, modify, and redistribute the methodology under those licences. The hosted service, design, brand assets, and customer reports are not open source and remain our property.
9. Certification badge
Sites scoring 60 or higher may issue an embeddable certification badge. The badge represents your site's score at the moment of issuance and is re-verified against our server on every fetch. We may revoke a badge if a re-scan drops the score below the certification threshold; the badge will then visibly reflect the new state.
Do not modify the badge artwork or remove the verification-URL comment from the embed snippet. Doing so breaks the verifiability the certification depends on.
10. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not offer a service-level guarantee. Scheduled maintenance is rare; emergency maintenance may happen without notice. We are not liable for downtime of upstream services (Stripe, Vercel, Supabase, third-party AI APIs).
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, lost profits, or lost data.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
12. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with a written warning where reasonable.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially, we will email registered users at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Minor edits (clarifications, typos) are made silently with the “last updated” date above bumped.
15. Contact
For anything to do with these terms, email ed@aisearchready.io.
